UA members are a dedicated bunch. But that doesn’t just apply to their jobs, it also applies to family. And the UA is here to not only help you succeed, but your kids as well.
If you have a child pursing post-secondary education, they can apply for the Robert J. Watson National Bursary Program. They have until November 15, 2013 to apply, and early in December 2013, 88 bursaries will be awarded in a random draw.
UA members go above in beyond on and off the jobsite. This bursary is named for UA rep Bob Watson, who was instrumental in setting up the Building Trades Union contract maintenance industry. His dedication and initiative makes him someone to whom we can all aspire, whatever our calling in life.
The UA knows that having your back doesn’t just mean looking out for you at work. It means helping you get what you want in life, and sometimes that’s giving your kids a leg up. So get your applications in.
Let’s build a better life…for your whole family.
